The Season in Donna
The resorts along Victoria Road and the Business 83 corridor are the kind Winter Texans mean when they talk about the full season: ballroom dances, live entertainment, craft rooms, pool leagues, and a calendar that doesn't leave many blank nights between November and March. Victoria Palms is the name most people know, but it has plenty of company.
The Don-Wes Flea Market on the Donna–Weslaco line is the Saturday ritual: produce, tools, boots, and half the people you met at last night's dance. The Progreso bridge is about fifteen minutes south for the Nuevo Progreso run.
What to Know Before You Book
Like Alamo next door, Donna is about what's inside the park gates, not outside them. The town's own shopping and dining are limited, and the hospital run means Weslaco, Edinburg, or McAllen. The big resorts also book heavy: if you're set on one of the well-known parks for the full season, reserve months ahead.
