Privacy Policy

Last updated July 7, 2026

WinterTexanGuide is a community directory. We collect the minimum we need to run it, and we don't sell or rent anyone's information. Here's the plain-language version of what happens with your data.

What we collect

  • Forms you fill out. Contacting us, messaging a classified poster, submitting a business, or posting a classified sends us the name, email, and message you type. That's used to handle your request and nothing else.
  • Sign-in emails. Posting a classified or managing park activities uses a magic-link email sign-in. Your email is stored with your account; it is never shown publicly. Buyers reach classified posters through a relay form, so poster emails stay out of the page entirely. Phone numbers appear only if the poster chooses to show one.
  • The weekly digest. Signing up for the “This week at the parks” email stores your address and an unsubscribe code, nothing else. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing deletes your address immediately.
  • Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics to see which pages and events people use — page views, searches, clicks on phone numbers and maps. This involves cookies set by Google. We see aggregate patterns, not your name. We also keep simple view counters on listings and activities; those are just numbers, tied to nothing about you.

Who else touches the data

The site runs on Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database and sign-in), Resend (delivers the relay and contact emails), and Google Analytics (usage stats). Each processes data only to provide that service. No data is sold to anyone, and there's no advertising network on the site.

Cookies, and saying no to them

Sign-in uses a cookie so you stay signed in; the site works for browsing without one. Google Analytics sets its own cookies — you can block them with your browser's settings or Google's opt-out browser add-on, and the site works exactly the same.

Your choices

Want a classified taken down, your account deleted, or a copy of what we have about you? Email contact@wintertexanguide.com or use the contact form. A real person handles every request — usually within a few days.

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and note the change here.
