Joe's Oyster Bar is a no-frills spot a few blocks off the water in Port Isabel, run by Joe and Cecilia Castillo. Order oysters and a fried shrimp platter at the bar, or buy fresh Gulf catch from the attached Gulf Seafood Market to cook back at the park. Open seven days a week from 11 am to 7 pm. It is a small place, so expect a wait at the lunch rush in season.
